Powered by the sun (and fun), solar panels collect the energy needed to power a rainbow selection of LED lights illuminating the night sky in a gentle glow. Meters and gauges allow the children to see energy that is captured by the panels and stored for power. The paints and oils used are healthy for their lungs and the “green roof”, made of non-toxic materials, adds insulation and introduces the idea of water retention. Dwell on Design® Mural Prize Drawing Official Rules

No Purchase Necessary

The following are the official rules for the Dwell on Design Exhibition Prize Drawing (“Drawing”):

1. Sponsor: The Drawing is sponsored by Dwell LLC (“Dwell”), located at 40 Gold Street, San Francisco, CA 94133.

2. Eligibility: The Drawing is open to legal residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years of age. The Drawing is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Employees of Sponsor and their immediate families (spouse, parent, sibling, child, and spouse of any of the foregoing) and those living in their immediate households, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter the Drawing or to win the prize.

3. Entry Period: The entry period for the Drawing is during the open hours of the Dwell on Design Exhibition floor, which are: Friday, June 26, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, June 27, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, June 28, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

4. Drawing Details: Entrants will be eligible to win $1,000 toward the painting of a mural in their home. Sponsor will conduct a random drawing from all eligible entries following the close of the Exhibition.

5. How to Enter: Fill out an entry form completely and submit it in the designated location within the Modern Family Zone of the Dwell on Design Exhibition floor. A complete entry consists of a fully completed entry form submitted during the Entry Period, including a certification that the entrant meets the eligibility requirements and has reviewed and understands these Official Rules. Incomplete entries will be void.

6. Winner Selection: Sponsor will randomly draw a winner from the qualified entries submitted during the Entry Period. Sponsor’s decisions in selecting the winner and in all matters relating to the Drawing are final and binding. The winning entry and the identity of the winner will be announced on Dwell.com, and the winner will be notified by email and phone by close of business on Monday, June 29, 2009.

Prize: The winner will receive a $1,000 gift certificate donated by Benjamin Moore & Company toward the painting of a mural in the winner’s home by the winner’s choice from participating muralists. If a winner chooses not to accept their prize, an alternate winner will be chosen.

7. Taxes and Documentation: All federal, state, and local taxes on the value of the prize ($1,000) are the sole responsibility of the winner. A 1099 tax statement will be filed with the IRS for the winner and the winner will be required to sign a W-9 form and various agreements, including an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Waiver. Failure to due so will result in forfeiture of the prize.

8. Right to Use Name, Likeness, and Other Identifying Information: By submitting an entry, each entrant grants to Sponsor and its successors and assigns the right, except where prohibited by law, the right to use the entrant’s name, likeness, city and state, biographical information, entry materials, and written or oral statements, for editorial, advertising and promotional purposes, without compensation, unless required by law. Entrants shall have no right of approval, no claim to compensation, and no claim (including, without limitation, claims based on invasion of privacy, defamation, or right of publicity) arising out of any use, blurring, alteration, or use in composite form of their name, likeness, city and state, biographical information, or entry. The rights granted under this paragraph are without compensation or notification to the entrant of any kind, except as required by law, and shall extend to all entries related to the Drawing, including those submitted by non-winners and winners.

9. General Conditions. By participating in the Drawing, entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the Sponsors and the judges, which will be final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Drawing. Sponsors and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, successors and assigns (collectively, the "Released Parties") shall have no responsibility for any injury, losses, or damages of any kind resulting from participation in this Drawing or acceptance and use of a prize. Released Parties are not responsible for any defects, problems or malfunction of any prize.

10. Privacy. By entering this Drawing, entrants agree and consent that any information provided upon entering may be used by Sponsor in accordance with its Privacy Policies located at www.dwell/com/privacypolicy. If you do not want your information used in this manner, do not enter this Drawing.
